Sleeeeeeeepy

Well...

This weekend was cool. I got to meet Gregg from Australia. Peter met him when he was down there. Sadly, this week I will be out of town so the only day I get to spend with them will be teusday. Monday they were both at Sunshine snowboarding, so hopefully they will be whole and not broken. Peter told me all his snowboarding stories and he has been less then lucky on the hill.

Getting Gregg from the airport was interesting in itself. He was supposed to have flown in at 6:15pm, but there was a mechanical malfunction in the plane. He had to get shipped to a few different airports and then finally arrived in Edmonton at 8:50pm... and they lost one of his bags... with all his clothes in it.

Ahhhh travel. So fun.

Speaking of travel, I'm off again on Wednesday. I'm heading into the great Rocky Mountains and more specifically to a town called Canmore. It's for the Watchmen for the Nations leadership gathering. About 200 leaders from across Canada will be gathered to pray and seek God's face for the next steps for our nation. Are we the entire leadership of Canada? No, of course not... but we are praying on behalf of everyone with full faith and assurance that what we do actually affects the nation.

And I could give you a long history lesson on ways that God has been moving, but I'll save that for later. It is nearly 1:00am and I really should be in bed.

After Canmore I'll head over to Red Deer... which reminds me I need to call the Torwalts and confirm that. But hopefully I'll hang with them for the weekend and see Bryan, David and the family. Bryan will have just gotten back from Ohio and his week of rock star recording. I know the album will be awesome and am super looking forward to hearing it!

Then I should be home Monday-ish. So a quick nearly a week trip. I'm looking forward to it. Although at the gathering they have called a fast so I'll need to buy some nutritious snack type food or my fast with quickly become a dead stop as I pass out. I'm not going to go full water fast, but I'll do some fruit and granola bars in the morning and evening sort of deal. Hopefully that is cosher.

Hmmm... and that reminds me, I have no idea where I am staying. Well, I know the hotel I am staying in but they never got back to me about what kind of room. I asked for a double occupancy, but they said that I might be in a room with three others guys. Oh well. I'll see if I can bring Aaron and Bobbie's thermarest and a sleeping bag if that is the case. I'll still get one of the most comfortable sleeps around with that! I'm not against sharing a bed with a friend... but... with someone I've never met before in my life? Nope. No thank you. Thermarest for me.

Okay. I'm off to see what Frodo is up to tonight in my re-read of the Lord of the Rings and I'll probably fall asleep halfway through the first paragraph I read like usual. No wonder it takes me so long to get through these books...
