Christmas Stories...
Since there is no snow our lake is a perfect sheet of flat frozen ice. Last night we strapped on the old speed-skates and went for a spin. It was warm, still and.... VERY VERY DARK!! I nearly ate Aaron's skates when he hit a large crack and did a spectacular face skid. Skating in the dark on the middle of the lake is possibly not the smartest thing to do, but we had fun anyway. Then my body reminded me that I haven't been all that active lately and can't skate like I used to. Still, it was wonderful to be free on the ice and feel the wind in my face again... and how many times do you get to skate in the middle of the night, on the middle of a lake and just go forever?
Today was grand. Christmas. Hmmmmm.... I love it. Got a grand haul because that is what Christmas is all about. Gifts. Gifts that represent amazing stuff coming to you.
Got a lot of money, the freaking NARNIA CD already, a travel ceramic hair straightener (how do you spell that??), a sweet shirt from Buffalo, a wonderful book I have been wanting for a long time called, "The Longing for Home" and a bunch of other neat things.
Somehow, and this truly is an act of God, Andy bought the Narnia soundtrack right out from under my nose. He was with me the entire time and got the thing somehow without me noticing and right in front of my face. I felt somewhat vindicated though because I bought his gift with him basically standing in line with me and he never really noticed either. But still... I was on a major scouting mission for that CD so how could I have missed that? 10 Batrillion shopping points are awarded to Andy for supreme shopping stealth.
I put away some of my Christmas cash to the "Go to Redding" fund which is helpful. It's getting closer people!
Now I have to begin schooling myself in the ways of hair straightening. I don't really know how to use one, but it seems rather simple. Get the thing hot. Stick it in my hair. Play around. Look even sexier. Yeah... hahahhahahhaha!!
Anywho... I gotta run now. I think I may give this thing a go tonight and see what happens.
Let me leave you with a wonderful quote from the Narnia CD:
"I am a magnet to all kinds of deeper wonderment...."

I want to see pictures of the 'straiter' Kayle when you choose to experiment with the iron! As for Andy he can get 12 pts as well for that wonderful work of shopping! How is it Kayle that you always get hurt or almost get hurt during winter activities? Anyway, its great to hear of your wonderful Christmas, Be blessed!
